It is a fantastic game and I love playing it.

Bethsoft are doing very well

Re: Bethsoft’s Ashley Cheng Disappointed in Diablo 3

Kostaskaz, Diablo 3 is a shining example that third person (not necessarily isometric) is still alive. Imagine Fallout 3 in Diablo 3 engine and some actual good voice acting and writing, it'll definately trump all RPGs out there. But no, Beth thought it'd be good idea to (1) rape the Fallout lore (2) hire 10 year olds to write their script (3) hire horrible voice actors (4) write a totally nonsensical and illogical main quest and (5) completely change the SPECIAL system to something that is completely broken and boring.

And Oblivion with Guns is the only way to describe Fallout 3. Yeah it doesn't have VATS or Perks, but neither did it had those memorable Fallout-style characters, black humor, smart writing and non-linear plot.

Add that with the outright lie of "fallout 3 having more than 200 endings", we're stuck with a game with an extremely disappointing ending.

So tell me again... how did FPS work well with Fallout 3 again?

Re: Diablo 3: Player Killing is out, PvP is in

Notice how all the commentors who are in favor of PKing can't write a decent sentence? Yet they think they're tough-as-nails computer jocks?

Newsbreak: PKing people won't change the fact that no one respects you or likes you, online or offline. Enough said.

Blizzard is no longer willing to let a minority of losers ruin everyone else's fun.

Blizzard's also done Pkers a favor: Now can devote all that time they would have spent PKing in Diablo 3 to reading a dictionary. Nah, they'll probably spend it admiring themselves in the mirror or trying to come up with expletives that no one understands.

Re: GameSpot - Diablo 3 Release for 2008?

I'd say October 2009. There is a pattern in announce and release dates from most of the Blizzard games.
With most of the games we didn't have to wait more than a year after the particular game was announced.

Re: PC Gamer Exclusive Diablo 3 Preview

Woohoo! I'm frustrated -- deeply so.

The game was a disappointment. Most of us tried to like it. But it certainly didn't turn out the way we wanted it to be. Now, guys like Bill might say that everyone disappointed in the game had 'unreasonable' expectations, but all we wanted from Hellgate was a good game, really. It wasn't.

I even turned down several lucrative offers to sell the website before Hellgate's launch because my colleagues and I wanted to dedicate ourselves to the community, to the game. In addition, we also thought we could eventually get a better deal where we'd have managed to retain total creative control over the development of the website.

When I go to my other website, HellgateGuru.com, and take a look at the population on the forums, a far cry from what it was during its heyday, or even several months after the game's release, it makes me feel a pang of regret. Years dedicated -- to this? What is Hellgate Guru but a monument to an epic failure?

That's pretty much how I feel about it.

Re: Shipment of Fail: Bill Roper Talks About Flagship

Yes it looks like someone is still sore over it, I bought two founders for my daughter and I and I'm not p***ing vinegar over it.

FSS trid to go for the brass ring but overreached, the business reality caught up with them, that's all.

They didn't set out with a plan to screw anyone, why all the hate ? :-|

Re: Shipment of Fail: Bill Roper Talks About Flagship

agreed

Re: Shipment of Fail: Bill Roper Talks About Flagship

So, is it me, or the article is extremely anti-flagship?
